1. Who we are
Spin Route Book ("we", "us") publishes reviews and comparisons of UK-licensed online casinos at spinroutebook.com. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller for the processing described on this page. Contact: hello@spinroutebook.com.
2. What we collect, and why
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical data when you load a page: IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request. We use these logs to keep the site running, spot abuse and diagnose faults. Legal basis: legitimate interests. Logs are retained for a short period by the hosting platform and then rotated.
A consent cookie. If you dismiss our cookie notice, we store that choice in your browser so we don't ask again. That's a value on your device, not a profile of you. Details are in the cookie policy.
Email you send us. If you write to us, we hold your address and message for as long as needed to deal with it and a reasonable period after. Legal basis: legitimate interests in answering our correspondence. We don't add correspondents to any marketing list — we don't have one.
3. What we don't do
We don't run user accounts, so there's nothing to register or log into. We don't process payments or hold financial details. We don't buy data about visitors, run advertising networks on the site, or sell or rent anything we hold. We knowingly collect nothing from anyone under 18 — the site is for adults only.
4. Third parties you should know about
When you click an operator link, you leave this site and the operator's own privacy policy takes over — the tracking tag in our links tells them the visit came from us, which is how affiliate commission works. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting files from Google's servers. And our hosting platform processes the server logs described above on our behalf.
5. Your rights
UK GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over personal data we hold. Given how little that is, requests are usually quick. Email hello@spinroutebook.com and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date at the top. We don't retroactively expand what we collect.
